At Rough Lee Home, we believe meaningful activities help our residents express themselves, build confidence, and enjoy each day to the fullest. This morning, we hosted a wonderful clay making session, and it was filled with laughter, creativity, and proud smiles.
Our residents enjoyed getting hands-on with the clay, shaping and moulding it into imaginative models. From small animals and decorative bowls to abstract creations full of personality, each piece reflected the unique creativity of its maker. The sensory experience of working with clay — feeling its texture, rolling, pressing, and sculpting — was both calming and engaging for everyone involved.
Activities like these are about more than just art. They support fine motor skills, encourage communication, and create opportunities for social interaction. Most importantly, they give our residents the freedom to create something that is entirely their own.
We are incredibly proud of the creativity shown during this morning’s session and look forward to displaying the finished pieces around the home.
At Rough Lee Home, every day is about care, dignity, and creating joyful moments together.
