A Fond Farewell to Jack Peter Buckley

On 21st May, we were very sad to say goodbye to our much-loved Rough Lee mascot, Jack Peter Buckley.


Jack was the manager’s beloved dog and had been visiting Rough Lee Home for the past 18 years. Over that time, he became a very special part of our Rough Lee family. The residents loved seeing him, stroking him and enjoying his gentle company.


Jack reached the wonderful age of 20, which is a truly great age. He brought so much happiness, comfort and love to the home and will be sadly missed by everyone.


Rest in peace, Jack Peter Buckley.

41 Years Of Quality Care

The home was built on the site where Rough Lee ma- ternity hospital had been. The first stone was laid by Lady Clitheroe in November 1982. The building as a home was opened in January 1984.

We will treat you to some lunch, introduce you to our staff and residents and you could even join in one of our daily activities
